[00:00:26] Today, I would like to talk about and all of these things that are going on. But the reality of this is that so much of that is out of our control. In fact, all of this is out of our control. The only thing that we can control is how we show up every single day. So I decided that I wanna make 2024 the year of feeling good. The year of doing things that make me feel good.
[00:01:40] The year of doing things that make other people feel good
[00:01:43] to live really intentionally with that positive
[00:01:45] ownership mindset and be that role model for people. that's so easy to fall into, but we don't have to. We don't have to make that choice. Instead, I really would like to encourage you to live by Gandhi's words. I love his statement, be the change you want to see in the world. And that change starts with your own well-being, your own mental health, your own mindset. So how do you embody this change? Well,
[00:03:02] you need to think about all of the activities that you'm doing to improve the way that I feel and the way that I'm showing up and both my personal life and in my professional life.
[00:04:21] And hopefully this will inspire you to do the same.
[00:04:24] So personal well-being actions.
[00:04:26] First, practice gratitude.
[00:05:26] food in your body. I just went to my doctor for my annual checkup and she said something really interesting. She said seed oils are killing us, grape seed oil and canola oil and saffron oil and
[00:05:33] all of these seed oils are killing us. Don't eat processed food because they have all of those
[00:05:38] things in it. I was like, that's such a simple thing to do. I don't need to eat a cracker. I don't
[00:05:43] need to eat that chip. I need to eat foods that nourish me. I need to eat whole foods. So commit to reducing your complaints, focus on finding solutions and maintaining that positive outlook, turn your negative words into positive words. And that will really help keep your energy clear. It will really promote a proactive mindset, a positive mindset if you stop complaining. And I will tell you, it's not easy. But this intentional focus
[00:07:00] that I've had on it for the month of January, I feel so much better because I am complaining
[00:07:04] so much less. And when I catch myself complaining, I say in my life. And I invest in my relationship with her every single day. And I am so grateful because it makes me feel like I belong. It makes me feel loved. Like I know I have somebody in my corner.
[00:08:21] I really invested my relationship with my son.
[00:08:24] I want him to know what it's like to walk in somebody else's shoes matters. And why does it matter? Because it helps you build those relationships. So invest in empathy. Listen well. Share the why behind decisions. Make people feel like they're valued and like they belong.
[00:09:41] And that will come back to you.
[00:09:43] I know that being empathetic and being transparent,
[00:09:46] even though it's not always easy, And you just do the same thing for yourself. You need to hold yourself accountable, but not beat yourself up when things go wrong. Things will go wrong. And your team will appreciate if you take the time to understand their unique situation and support them while you get back on track. Yourself, you will appreciate when you're kind to yourself,
[00:11:00] when you hold yourself accountable, when things go wrong, and when things go off track. reading through seeing different experiences through the eyes of others through great writing. So these are some of the things that you can do to integrate into your life to make 2024 the year of positive growth, of great well-being, of joy, of bringing other people joy. And I really encourage you to take these steps so that you can inspire yourself and those around
[00:12:23] you to do the same. And if you're not having a good day, that's for a walk, and give it some time. Don't succumb to a negative, stressful 2024, rise above it, focus on your well-being, focus on bringing that positive mindset to your life, to the lives of those around you. You can make 2024 a year of personal and professional development, evolution, really,
[00:13:43] by prioritizing well-being and making 2024 a year of feeling good.
